Have a passion for being in the water? Are you trustworthy and professional? Then you may be asked to become a lifeguard at camp.
The first thing you'll notice about most of our camps are the impressive waterfronts. As a camp trainer, you'll spend some activities down at the lake with your campers, so why not dive in at the deep end & become a lifeguard?

WHAT IS LIFEGUARDING AT CAMP?
- Maintaining the safety of campers and staff using the waterfront or swimming pool facilities.
- Overseeing waterfront activities.
- Carrying out first aid if necessary.
- Performing in-water rescues if needed.
As a camp trainer, when you take your campers to waterfront activities you may be asked to lifeguard.
- Pass a lifeguarding course
- Be focused, alert and dependable
- Have a passion for being in the water
- Be a strong swimmer
How do I get involved in lifeguarding at camp?
Be sure to include details on any previous swimming or first aid experience in the skills section of your Adventure China profile.
Most of our camps have a waterfront so lifeguards are highly sought after. If you have previous lifeguarding experience, be sure to mention this to camps as they may ask you to renew your current qualification before heading to China.
Camp directors want trustworthy, focused lifeguards. If you are a strong swimmer, can demonstrate a level of professionalism & have strong communication skills, camp may ask you to become a lifeguard.
