WHAT IS KAYAKING AT CAMP?
- Kayaking sessions aim to teach campers basic paddling technique
- You may be asked to supervise your group of campers as they use kayaks on the lake
- You'll play a part in ensuring the safety of everyone using kayaks
Kayaking is a great way to get out on the waterfront. You may be expected to become a lifeguard before teaching kayaking at camp.

- Be patient, focused & alert
How do I get involved in kayaking at camp?
Be sure to include any details of previous kayaking or similarly relevant experience in your skills section on your Adventure China profile. Camp Directors want people who are confident in the water so emphasise this throughout your application.
Kayaking is an activity at most of our camps, so is highly sought after by camp directors. Include a few examples of fun, creative games that you could play to increase the confidence & enjoyment of campers partaking in kayaking.
Individuals who can demonstrate their confidence in the water and are focused & patient, will thrive during this activity.
