BRINGING CAMP TO LIFE
Teach what you love. Become a Camp Counselor.

WHAT IS A CAMP COUNSELOR?
You’ll be supervising and living in a bunk with the campers. Throughout the day you will teach activities and supervise your group throughout their fun packed schedule.
Your role is to ensure that campers are engaged & having fun as well as maintaining a safe, healthy camp environment for the children to thrive.
*You may also hear the term 'camp trainer' - these two terms mean the same thing, and they're sometimes used interchangeably.
Adventure China is certainly not your average desk job. You'll spend your days hanging out in the great outdoors with your campers and the other counsellors.
There's plenty of time to relax, as each camp will make sure you've got time off during the day. You'll get at least one 24 hour period off per week - and some camps provide the entire weekend off.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?
You don’t need any qualifications for Adventure China.
One of the great things about being at camp in China is that you'll discover plenty of new skills. If you’re positive, adventurous, and have lots of energy, you’ll fit right in with us. We’ll get you ready for China long before you leave home.
If you do have a specific skill, be sure to let us know! Previous experience working with children is always a bonus.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?
Chinese camps are based on traditional North American summer camps, but China’s distinct culture and traditions will allow for a completely unique experience.
Adventure China is a pioneer project - the first program of its kind in that part of the world.
You’ll be working with local counsellors from all over China, enabling true insight into Chinese culture as you create lasting friendships.
